The new series of the BBC's Autumnwatch kicks off this Friday (2nd October) with an episode all about wildlife that has been found in the orchards of H Weston & Sons Ltd, the Much Marcle-based cider maker.

Kate Humble and Chris Packham, two of the programme's presenters, spent two days (Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th September) with the film crew identifying all sorts of insects, birds, mammals and moths etc.

Heather Mead said "We were delighted that they chose to film here at Westons.  It was a fascinating experience and we learnt so much about the flora and fauna living in our orchards from them."

The programme goes out on BBC2 at 9pm this Friday and is repeated on Saturday at 6.15pm.
