Paul Ford, who many will remember from the Farmers Arms in Wellington Heath, the Plough and Harrow in Malvern and Just Desserts and the Cake Box in Colwall has just taken on a brand new challenge. He is now the manager of the Scrumpy House, the popular onsite restaurant at Westons Cider in Much Marcle.
And starting with him are two new chefs who have almost 30 years experience between them. Chris Murphy, who recently owned and ran the Clockwatchers in Worcester, was previously the Head Chef at a large London restaurant and James Curtiss has worked at both Malvern Theatres and at Pepper and Oz in Malvern.
Paul said: "I am really excited about this move. All my team have a passion for fine, local food and we are keen to share this with our customers, old and new. We have a regularly changing specials board that makes the most of seasonal produce, so there will always be different dishes to try."
Open daily, The Scrumpy House serves morning coffees, light lunches and snacks, afternoon teas and homemade cakes, traditional roast lunches on Sundays and delicious suppers on Friday and Saturday evenings.
And from Monday 24th November - Wednesday 24th December, Christmas lunch and dinner menus are also available. During this festive period the opening times will be extended and food served every evening except Sunday.
