Much Marcle-based cider maker, H Weston & Sons Ltd, is to supply its Marcle Hill Cider on draught to 735 Wetherspoon pubs across the UK.

The cider will be available in the pubs from Thursday September 17.

Wetherspoon's chief executive, John Hutson, said: "We are committed to serving the widest range of ciders in all of our pubs and believe that Marcle Hill Cider will complement the existing range superbly.

"We are delighted to be working with Westons and pleased that our customers will be able to enjoy the cider in their local Wetherspoon pub."

Westons managing director Helen Thomas said: "We were originally asked by Wetherspoon's to supply them with an exclusive draught product for their cider festival.  The result, Marcle Hill, proved so popular that we have now been asked to supply their entire estate, which is wonderful news and a great opportunity for us.

The medium, still cider, is described as a 'well balanced fruity flavour with a smooth, mellow and clean apple finish.'
