H Weston and Sons Ltd the family owned cider and perry makers based in Herefordshire since 1880 have developed a refreshing new look for their brand. The striking new appearance is based on a graphical representation of the corner of a traditional hydraulic cider press, similar to the ones used at Westons Cider Mill up until 1999. Helen Thomas, the company's managing director stated "In the design we have developed a fresh new look whilst retaining important traditional elements from our heritage, such as the image of the press and use of colours that have been part of Westons for many years."

Commercial director, Roger Jackson, commented that "It was important for Westons to build on the corporate brand image and position at a time when cider has become increasingly popular and the introduction of many "me-too" brands meant we had to maintain our stand out and be noticed." Mr Jackson went on to say "With Westons sales having grown well in excess of the market growth over the past 36 months we are continuing to invest in new product development and marketing so that we continue to be recognised as one of the most premium cider brands in the market."
