To celebrate its 130th anniversary, Herefordshire-based Westons Cider has re-launched its Henry Westons Vintage Cider brand with a contemporary new look to broaden its appeal whilst continuing to maintain its rich heritage.
With today’s huge popularity of cider, now enjoyed throughout the year, more consumers are looking to try different styles and tastes, and as result, there is a rising interest in traditional premium cider.
Henry Westons Vintage, first produced as a tribute to Henry Weston who founded Westons Cider in 1880, is a very special premium traditional cider made from the finest selected Herefordshire cider apples of a single year’s harvest.
Traditionally crafted and fully matured in 200 year old oak vats to develop a strong character, the cider is rich and full bodied with a long lingering finish and appley aroma bursting with fruit.
Henry Westons Vintage cider is a delicious indulging drink on its own and also a perfect accompaniment with strong-flavoured Autumn/Winter dishes such as game, beef and gammon and also festive treats such as Christmas cake, mince pies and strong cheese.
The new look Henry Westons Vintage cider will be on supermarket shelves, including Asda, Booth, Co-op, Morrisons, Sainsburys, Tesco and Waitrose from 20th September 2010. RRP £2.55 (500ml glass bottle). ABV 8.2%.
