A traditional Christmas event at Westons Cider in Much Marcle this Sunday (6th December) is sure to be a great way to get the whole family in the festive spirit!
Starting at 4pm, families across the region are invited to drop in to Westons to see the lights switched on at the Visitor Centre and to join "Sounds Familiar" choir in singing Christmas carols and songs around the tree. Free mince pies for all and mulled cider for adults will be offered, with donations helping to raise funds for the west window at St Bartholomew's church in Much Marcle. The church will also have a stall in the Scrumpy House selling holly, wreaths, table decorations, cakes and jams etc and a lucky dip for children.
Heather Mead, Marketing Executive for Westons said: "We hope those who come will make the most of this festive event and do a bit of Christmas shopping while they are here. A whole range of unique gifts including local crafts will be on sale and of course it is an ideal opportunity to stock up on cider and perry at the same time! With free tastings and over 30 different products, from traditional Scrumpy to a delicious low alcohol cider, there will be something to suit all tastes."
Throughout the event, the Scrumpy House bar will be open and, although the restaurant will not be serving meals at this time, delicious hot turkey rolls will also be available.
